auto-reply.to is built to be trustworthy with the most personal app on your phone. This page describes exactly what we store, what we don't, and the controls you have.

What we store

  • Account info (email, name) provided via Clerk.
  • Your assistant's persona prompt and encrypted knowledge base (AES-256-GCM).
  • The list of WhatsApp chats you have whitelisted.
  • An audit log of every action auto-reply.to took, which contains a truncated (~200 character) snippet of the incoming message and the full outgoing reply. This is to give you transparency.

What we don't store

  • Raw WhatsApp message history. We pull only your unread messages from whitelisted chats, generate the reply, send it, and immediately drop the data.
  • Messages from chats that are not whitelisted. We only fetch from chats you explicitly enabled.

Third parties

  • Clerk (auth), Stripe (billing).
  • A third-party AI inference provider. Message content from whitelisted chats is sent to this provider to generate replies, subject to a zero-data-retention agreement that prohibits any training on your data.
  • Our WhatsApp Web relay service runs in infrastructure we operate.

Your controls

  • One-click kill switch to disable all AI replies globally.
  • Unlink WhatsApp to clear your session at any time.
  • Delete your account to wipe all data (contact support).
